Join Honey Brown & Special Guests for this benefit dance on May 19th at the Skidegate Community Hall.

Kaiya Williams, 9 yrs old has been battling cancer for 1/2 of her life!!
She is heading to Philadelphia May 22 for high dose radiation for 2 weeks, then back to Vancouver for follow-up. Any help would be greatly appreciated as she prepares to beat this disease!!

June 21st LaxKw'Alaams resident Dayna McKay will swim from LaxKw'Alaams to Prince Rupert in order to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research and to support families needing to travel for cancer treatment. the 52 KM swim will begin in LaxKw'Alaams and end at the Prince Rupert lightering dock on Aboriginal Day, June 21st.

“The Fine Art of Nature” - May exhibition at the Smithers Art Gallery

The Smithers Art Gallery's May exhibition, "The Fine Art of Nature", is an interactive installation connecting children and families with nature. This mixed-media group show will turn the gallery into a family nature-house, with artworks inspired by the natural world sitting alongside live and preserved specimens. There is an amazing program of free workshops and activities for children and adults throughout the month at the gallery, from making animal masks, to learning bird songs, to making cottonwood balm.
