Fatal Near Fraser Lake
A 32 year old Fraser Lake man is dead after a two vehicle crash just west of the community Thursday night.
RCMP say the victim was at the wheel of a west bound Honda Civic that crossed the centre line of Highway 16 and crashed head-on with an east bound pickup shortly before 8:30.
The driver of the pickup was not injured in the crash, which happened on the Stellaquo overpass.
Police say alcohol is considered to be a factor in the incident.
Highway 16 was closed down for several hours as RCMP investigated, but a detour was available.
The victim’s name has not been released.
Anyone that witnessed the collision or that may have information should contact the RCMP.
