New Northern Judges Appointed

The BC Government is hoping the appointment of nine new judges will help ease the heavy caseload pressures on the province’s courts.

Three of the new judges will be in the north, including Terence Wright who will serve in Smithers starting in March.

Wright was born in Terrace and has practiced law in the city for over 25 years as well as serving on the Terrace and District Community Services Society board.

Victor Galbraith, who has served with Crown counsel in Williams Lake and Quesnel, will serve in Prince George starting this month.

Randall William Callan, who is a legal officer with the Canadian Forces, has also been appointed to the bench in Prince George.
