Greetings and Salutations! My name is Jamie Mason, I’m your afternoon drive host for CFNR. I grew up in a tiny Alberta town that nobody has ever heard of. Ever heard of Newbrook? See, I told you. It was there where I honed my hockey, music and ninja skills. I am an Edmonton Oilers fan. Shut up. I enjoy collecting bottles along the Skeena River in the moonlight, I also enjoy pie, and being lavished with gifts. I am obsessed with Stevie Ray Vaughan, ebay shopping, and Tim Horton’s coffee, but really, who isn’t? Drop me a note any time, I usually check my email every 30 seconds or so.

Are you hitched? living in sin? I am hitched, enjoying every moment of marital bliss, or so I’m told!
Whom is your guitar hero? Stevie Ray Vaughan is my absolute favourite guitarist. I had been into heavy metal until I saw Stevie Ray on TV, and he blew me away. I’ve been a blues fan ever since.
What song(s) brings you right back to adolescence? Anything cheesy from the 80s, Gowan’s “Moonlight Desires” springs to mind!
Fave song(s) to sing karaoke or in shower? “Bad to the Bone” and “Ice Ice Baby” are a couple of my best karaoke covers!

What are your talents? Playing guitar, spending money
If you could have a world problem fixed....Food on every table!
Board Games? I haven’t played any in ages, but I like “The Game of Life”, “Battleship”, “Things”, and I must say I am pretty awesome at “Pictionary”!
Reality TV? I actually have been without TV for quite a while, so I can avoid all the current trash on TV. However I did enjoy shows like “The Surreal Life” and “Celebrity Rehab” when I did have it.
I love living in British Columbia because.....I love the outdoors and am surrounded by amazing scenery!
I love working at CFNR because....It hardly seems like work getting to give stuff away and play music that I love, and we have a great crew here! Nick even shares his lasagna leftovers with me, it’s a dream come true.

Hey Jamie its Ed you know who! I am probably one of the biggest U.F.C. fan you will ever meet. If you saw the entrance into my place it is covered with U.F.C. posters,thats just a little bit of it. No or maybe i have an addiction but its all good. Hopefully Ill win the contest!!!!!

Hey Jamie,
Just a note to say that I am LOVING the music you ALL play and I listen at all different times of the day because I am a casual at my job and have to wait for a call to get work…sucks!!! But…that is why I listen to the radio so much and I really have to say you are all doing a GREAT job!!! I love the music, I love the contests and I love the community involvement. I am so glad you talked me into crossing over! ha ha
I do have a request for Friday, if you can I would love to hear my truly all time favorite: Gimmee Some Lovin’-Spencer Davis Group. It is my absolute favorite! I also have a request for the Beatles…Today is Your Birthday, I requested it one day and I think it was Nick on at the time and he couldn’t find it. I used to wake my children up every year on their birthday just blasting this song, they came to love it! My son is a big-time Beatles fan now. He got all my Beatles paraphenalia and I had a lot! I was a teenager in the sixties when they came out, I had Beatles baseball cards, Beatles posters, Beatles bobblehead dolls, etc, and every album they ever made, then I bought all the CD’s in the later years. Hey…I’m capable of changing with the times. I am considering sending you my birthday calendar and requesting the song for every birthday throughout the year…there’s lots, I do a birthday calendar every year for my family and there is about 250 birthdays and anniversaries.
I have one more suggestion…I LOOOOOOVE Free for all Fridays! I think everyone loves Free for all Fridays! I am listening to the radio so often again and I wish every day was Free for all Fridays. So…I was thinking that you should start a Daily Request and have people (like me) pay a dollar to hear any song they wanted and you can donate that money to a charity…I’d do it!
Now that you read my book, I think I’m done!
