Fun Facts about our CFNR Staffers

The Basics

Name:  Bill Fee

Hometown: Innisfail, Alberta

Ancestry:  Heinz 57

Family:  Yes.  I’ve been told I was a true bargain at the hospital where they picked me up.

Are you hitched? I am happily married to my wife Jessica. We have two dogs L.P. and Smudge and a fish named Nacho.  Don’t ask.

Music & Entertainment

Who is your guitar hero?  I’m a drummer, so I’m going to go with Dave Grohl, but Josh Homme would be my pick for guitar.

What song(s) brings you right back to your youth? Any AC/DC from Powerage to Back in Black usually takes me back.

Fave song(s) to sing karaoke or in shower?  In the shower, it’s Cash.  On the mic, it’s anything to freak people out.  Welcome to the Jungle usually puts people on edge, but I can’t usually talk for two days after.

Favorite Book(s): High Fidelity, The Road, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, anything by Haruki Murakami

Favorite Movies: War movies on a Saturday morning with coffee.

What’s on your I-pod? Grinderman, The Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures, Land of Talk, Queens of the Stone Age, the Gutter Twins, Mark Lanegan, John Frusciante, etc.

The Rest

The best advice I ever heard or read: keep learning, listening, loving, and laughing

The worst advice.... you should really go into radio.

What are your talents? Music, cooking, weirdness, and mimicry

If you could have a world problem fixed....I would probably be out of work, but let’s start with child poverty.  Everyone deserves a safe, stable start in life.

Board Games? Sometimes.

TV? No cable

Staples in your house?  Mercedes Beans and Model Teas, Canadian Angus Beef, Plan B Brewing

When you’re not gathering or reading news? Pretending to sleep, X-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, reading, playing the drums, listening to music, making coffee, walking the dogs.

I love living in British Columbia because.....mountains, alpine meadows, ocean, rivers, lakes, trees, etc.

Working at CFNR has.....introduced me to a great group of people, allowed me to explore and learn more about First Nations culture, see amazing places and meet fascinating people.
